Our Story
Confa Marine was established in 1991 at the south of Nibong Tebal, Penang as a full-fledged shrimp farm that cultures consumer sized shrimps. Through hard work and diligence, our founder expanded the shrimp farm steadily over the years through acquired land resources which eventually led to the distribution of shrimps.
In 2009, Confa Hatchery Sdn Bhd was formed as a subsidiary of Confa Marine Products, housing an all-rounded shrimp hatchery that encompasses various specialisations in modern and reliable aquaculture productions. Our 30-year experience and involvement in the aquafarming industry has given us ample knowledge on cultivating healthy shrimps and gives us the upper hand in our hatchery operations.
As one of the largest shrimp hatcheries in Malaysia with more than 200 larval tanks, our hatchery runs on next-gen business processes. Backed by modern innovations and technology, we are equipped with holistic facilities and an in-house laboratory to manage the quality of water conditions and shrimp.
In addition, our hatchery only utilizes marine water that goes through a comprehensive filtration process. This procedure is crucial to eliminate contamination in our water source, which allows us to nurture healthy shrimp.
